Is it mad to pray for better hallucinations?
Alice Liddell was a completely normal, if imaginative, child of the late 19th century. Then her house caught on fire in the middle of the night. She escaped, but she got to watch her mother, father, and older sister get roasted alive. The experience drove her hopelessly insane, and she was committed into Rutledge Asylum. She spent the next decade in the asylum, where she was subjected to 19th century treatment and struggled to regain her sanity through Wonderland.
